Friday Walk
This walk was part of a programme accompanying an exhibition by Open School East associates, in which The Walking Reading Group featured. For this one-off, circular walk, we headed east from Peer Gallery in Hoxton down Hackney Road and then followed the canal westwards. Discussions were based on a single text by Karen Van den Berg, which explores different models of artistic activities. Our conversations considered notions of work, professionalism and identity, as we passed artist-run spaces on our route. We finished with a drink in The Macbeth pub on Hoxton Street.
